Chocolate.
This blog post should probably be titled ‘Carob’. Chocolate is really very bad for dogs. But to Star, carob is chocolate, and she loves it.
This week, Star took her jar of chocolate ice cream to enjoy by the harbour whilst her Pokémon Go Plus + automatically caught all the harbour’s Pokemon and spun all the Pokéstops. Then she conquered the nearby gyms for team Mystic.
Now let’s explore the harbour.
Wait! I want some chocolate carob ice cream too! What’s the recipe?
Oh. The recipe. It builds off Star’s Starlight base (slightly tweaked from last time), omitting the vanilla and adding lots of carob powder. Carob is a dog-friendly and healthy alternative to chocolate that’s suitable for humans too. It smells exactly the same.
Star’s chocolate ice cream ingredients:
480ml (87%) of lactose-free milk.
30ml (5%) of apple purée.
30g (5%) of carob powder.
10g (2%) of coconut oil.
0.5g (<1%) of xanthan gum.
Star’s still experimenting to discover the perfect ice cream base.
To the harbour!
The castle is only over there, but there’s too much water in the way. And where’s Sammy the seal?
Alas, a new castle adventure will have to wait for another day. Perhaps there’s another route to explore instead? 🚩
