Godzilla.
To celebrate the release of Godzilla x Kong and to distract her because she can’t watch it yet, Star had some homemade Godzilla cookies!
Star’s Godzilla cookies come in two forms. Supercharged, and Evolved Supercharged. Inspired by Godzilla’s iconic blue supercharged colour and the new magenta colour of his evolved form.
They contain real Godzilla meat infused with either blue or pink atomic heat ray powder. For real! Just ask Star. She’s been trying to hit Poo Paw with her new heat ray ability all weekend*.
Wanna make your own? First, you’ll need one of these. Next, the ingredients.
The Godzilla cookie recipe:
80g of coconut flour.
Your atomic heat ray powder of choice (either 10g of blue spirulina powder or 35g of pink dragon fruit powder).
120ml of apple purée.
120ml of melted coconut oil.
25g of crocodile meat.
1g of vanilla powder.
1g of Boswellia powder.
Coconut flour is an excellent dog-friendly flour alternative for baking dog treats.
Blue spirulina and dragon fruit have superb health benefits. They also provide the cookies with their vibrant Godzilla-inspired supercharged colours.
Apple purée and coconut oil serve to bind the ingredients and help form a cookie dough. Apple also adds sweetness and flavour. It’s also Star’s favourite fruit, so it had to be included.
Crocodile meat is an exotic novel protein, and it’s probably the closest thing there is to real Godzilla meat. Star gets hers from Petculiar.
Vanilla powder is just for flavouring.
Boswellia powder is to help keep joints as strong as Godzilla’s!
Now for the instructions:
Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix the coconut flour, atomic heat ray powder, vanilla powder, and Boswellia powder in a large bowl.
Ground the crocodile meat using a blender or food processor.
Combine the apple purée and coconut oil in another bowl.
Stir the ground crocodile meat into the apple purée and coconut oil mixture.
Combine both mixtures to form a cookie dough. If the dough is too dry, incrementally add additional apple purée. If the dough is too moist, incrementally add additional coconut flour. It should be cohesive but not too sticky.
Place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out to an even thickness of about 6mm.
Remove the top sheet of parchment paper and press the Godzilla cookie cutter into the dough to cut out the shapes. There should be enough for 3-4 Godzillas. Use the leftover dough to create small cookie dough balls.
Use a spatula to transfer the cookies onto the parchment-lined baking tray.
Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges turn golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
Enjoy!
The atomic heat ray powders responsible for the vibrant Godzilla-inspired colours were borrowed from Innocent’s Bolt From The Blue and Inner Winner fruit juices. Innocent also uses these ingredients to achieve the same effect in their drinks.
Star loves her Godzilla cookies!
They are cat-friendly too, but Poo Paw and Chocolate Fur are disinterested; not enough Godzilla meat in them for their taste.
By the Ouai, it’s spring now. So, Star needs a bath. 🚿
* April Fools! The meat in Star’s Godzilla cookies is actually crocodile meat. The pink ones contain pink dragon fruit, and the blue ones contain blue spirulina powder. There’s no such thing as atomic heat ray powder. Consuming these cookies won’t give your dog newfound heat ray abilities. Probably.
