A new Pokémon Go Sidequest is now available.
It can be started from the Woodlands Café, which can be reached by following the Path of the Sea or by choosing Dragon to answer the first riddle along the Path of the Castle.
There are two ways to complete the Sidequest:
Freely explore the castle grounds as you challenge nearby gyms.
Follow a structured in-game route to the destination.
Pokémon Go is required to embark on this Sidequest.
-
Due to the relocation of Hungry Hounds Hebrides, the Treat Shop Detour Sidequest has been retired.
-
Due to a game-breaking routing error that trapped adventurers in a loop in the woods, The path of the Curse is temporarily disabled.
-
The secret Path of the Phoenix is now available. Chart it and uncover a never-before-found 4th Secret Spot. To find it:
Follow the Path of the Curse to discover the clues to find it along your next treasure trail adventure.
Find the sundial along one of the other paths and attempt to discover its true secret for yourself.
Extend your adventure upon completing the Path of the Curse to follow the Path of the Phoenix immediately or enjoy Star’s original treasure trail adventure.
-
The clocks have rewound. Halloween is approaching. A curse beckons you.
Welcome to the Halloween update to Star’s Treasure Trail: The Path of the Curse!
Star has charted a new path, and with it comes an entirely new treasure trail experience with an ominous twist. Solve new riddles and puzzles, make new choices, decipher incantations, and traverse two new duelling entwining paths towards a spellbinding new objective.
The Path of the Curse is a self-contained adventure separate from the other paths and follows a more linear flow.
To experience The Path of the Curse, choose it from the path options once you reach Snorlax’s bridge.
-
The troll’s location coordinates are now more accurate.
The direction to follow the path after encountering the tree within a circle of circle stone now correctly reads as west-by-southwest.
-
Re-enabled the following Sidequests:
Part 1: Follow that Troll
Part 2: Capture that Troll
To discover Part 1, Adventurers will need to love dragons!
Only a Troll Believer can learn of the clues to uncover Part 2.
The riddle for Star’s Secret Fort now continues to make sense in the context of Sidequests.
-
Due to a routing issue when discovering the ‘Part 1: Follow that Troll’ Sidequest from the Path of the Sea, the following sidequests have been temporarily disabled:
Part 1: Follow that Troll
Part 2: Capture that Troll
-
Welcome to the first major update to Star’s Treasure Trail: Sidequests!
Sidequests are optional activities and can add up to 30 minutes of extra walking time to your adventure.
The first 3 Sidequests are now available:
A recreated version of Star’s Treat Shop Detour is now a Sidequest.
A new Sidequest – Part 1: Follow that Troll is now available.
A new Sidequest – Part 2: Capture that Troll is now available. Adventurers will need to complete Part 1 to have the opportunity to discover and complete this Sidequest.
It’s possible to complete multiple Sidequests within a single adventure along Star’s Treasure Trail, but only one at a time. Sidequests can replace or restructure some parts of the core adventure, which adds even more depth and variety to the replayable nature of Star’s Treasure Trail.
Star’s Treasure Trail has also received a minor visual makeover.
-
The route from the start of the trail along the harbour now has an optional detour to Star’s favourite treat shop.
-
The directions from the sundial to the Gruffalo’s Lair are now more precise.
Fixed a problem where some riddle answers along the Path of the Castle incorrectly linked to pages along the Path of the Sea, so they now go to the correct pages.
-
One of the paths from the cannon now routes to the tree in a circle of stone instead of Cuddy Point.
Implemented fixes for some broken links and corrected some typos.
-
Hints have been added to most pages to aid adventurers with any difficulty they encounter.
Hints usually offer a clue to the solution but, in some cases, provide the answer.
Hints improve the trail’s accessibility by optionally guiding adventurers away from hills.
-
Star’s Treasure Trail has launched.
With two intertwining routes and multiple diverging paths, there are many puzzles and riddles to solve as you navigate them towards one of three potential destinations.
