Earth.
Star’s apparently been watching too much Scooby Doo, but this journal entry is to celebrate Earth Day! It’s a fitting song for the occasion, at least. Star loves the earth with all her fire. It’s her one desire.
One of Star’s favourite things is to explore and sniff out all of Earth’s different smells. So, since today is Earth Day, Star sniffed out a local onshore wind farm because she’d never visited one before. Star loves the wind. Windy weather is her favourite, and she loves to sit and face against it.
Wind is also very good at generating lots of clean energy, which is much better for Earth and all its inhabitants than fossil fuels. And Star needs electricity for her air purifier to keep her cool in summer.
Star gets hers from an Octopus.
Clean energy isn’t the only way Star minimises her impact on her planet.
The food she eats and the treasures she leaves for Earth have the most significant impact. That’s why her food is one of the most sustainable there is. And it’s why her treasures are gorgeously gift-wrapped in a Project Harmless gift bag (and later disposed of properly) because, as their name suggests, they are harmless to Earth. All of Star’s Stuff are chosen, in part, because of their sustainability and ethical credentials.
But that’s enough about her stuff. Earth Day shouldn’t be a consumerist retail festival.
Star is also a long-time follower and supporter of Mossy Earth and believes in its inspiring mission. To restore wild ecosystems, support wildlife and biodiversity and help fight climate change. Leaving Earth better than they found it.
Star loves her planet.
Happy Earth Day! 🌍
Oh! One more thing. Star has a gift for Earth! And for one reader who shares enough of Star’s inquisitive nature to find it. Hiding somewhere within this journal entry is a 1-year membership to Mossy Earth. You ought to know by now where Star likes to hide things.
In the meantime, Star’s got some snaps to take. 📸
