The view from Lews Castle.

This week, Star explored some new routes, literally. They are a new Pokémon Go feature, and Pokémon Go Fest was at the weekend! So, to celebrate Pokémon Go Fest, Star explored some Pokémon Go routes created by local Pokémon Go players.

But before she begins, let’s detour to the treat shop for supplies!

A free treat!?

And a Frozys froyo! Thanks, Hungry Hounds Hebrides!

Now, on to the route!

There are two Pokémon Go routes near the harbour.

The first one begins at the aptly named Star Inn and loops through Stornoway’s town centre, passing all the nearby pokéstops, gyms, and raids. But Star completed it a few weeks ago after enjoying her chocolate (carob) ice cream.

So this time, she followed the other route, which begins by Snorlax’s bridge and ends at the cannon by Lews Castle, passing a few gyms along the way.

Check out Star’s reward!

It’s a shiny route badge for completing the Lews Castle walk.

Star loves Pokémon Go routes because, just like her own Treasure Trail, it turns the experience of walking and exploring into an interactive game. And those are three of Star’s favourite things.

Now for a well-deserved froyo!

Frozzys!

It’s tasty frozen yoghurt in vanilla, strawberry, and blueberry flavours.

Maybe one day, Star too will create her own Pokémon Go route and even incorporate it into her treasure trail.

But in the meantime, she has a show to prepare for. 🎪
