70% plain yoghurt.
25% lactose-free milk.
5% apple purée.
<1% vanilla powder.
<1% xanthan gum (optional).
Ingredients are listed in percentages so they can be tweaked and adjusted according to the overall volume you want to make.
Mix the ingredients in a high-powered blender, then pour the mixture into an ice cream maker or a freezer-safe container and store it in the freezer.
To customise the flavour, substitute a small amount of the plain yoghurt with your flavoured ingredients, such as carob, banana slices, apple slices, strawberries, or peanut butter. Make sure your ingredients are xylitol-free and safe for dogs.
For a dairy-free alternative, substitute the plain yoghurt and lactose-free milk for various fruits or fruit purées and a small amount of coconut oil like in Star’s Mystic Astra Phoenix ice cream.
Enjoy!
